Protective measures for breakfast and after-school clubs26 August 2020 (by admin) |
A letter relating to before and after school club provision inline with DfE Covid Guidelines.
Dear Parent/Carer
DfE guidelines for September state that all Breakfast & After-School Clubs must make sure that they can maintain the same protective measures in place across the schools. The guidance also states that ‘providers should also ensure that where they have multiple groups of children in their setting, these groups are not mixing within the setting itself’.
We are writing to ask if you plan to use an external (non-school based) before or after school club for your child from September and if so, who is your chosen provider.
This is so we can undertake a risk assessment, to consider what control measures may need to be put into place to ensure the safety of all parties.
Please contact the school office either by telephone or email as a matter of urgency if you intend using the services of an external breakfast or after school provider so that we can find a way to ensure that children from different providers or ‘bubbles’ do not mix with each other outside our setting or car share with others. I wish to make you aware that our school-led Superheroes Breakfast and After School club will resume in September proving the following service:-
o Breakfast Club from 7.30am until each child’s individual staggered school start time.
o After School Club up and until 6.00pm.
The school charges for these services from September 2020 to July 2021 are:
o £4.00 per child per day for Breakfast Club includes healthy breakfast
o £8.00 per child per night for After School Club includes hot meal
In order to ensure that there is adequate staffing in place, Breakfast and After School Club places will need to be booked and we will not be able to accept children who turn up on the day without a place booked. To request a place please click here
Children attending Superheroes Club will be offered a healthy breakfast or a tea time snack and a range of activities that keep them occupied and socially distanced from children in ‘bubbles’ of pre-school, lower, middle and upper phases.
