CFAT Covid-19: Our Safe Return Pledges

7 June 2020 (by admin)

CFAT is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our children, our families, our community and our staff.

Stay Apart, Stay Clean, Stay Safe

Our seven pledges to you:

1

We will continue to listen and respond to all official guidance from all sources to keep our practices in school up to date.

2

We have developed risk assessments focused on the safety of pupils and staff, from the best sources of official guidance and advice and we will update them as necessary and as guidance evolves.

3

With social distancing practices in mind, we have redesigned the physical layout of the school looking at: drop-off and pick up areas; safe ways of walking around the school; lunch arrangements and class sizes, which will be no larger than 12 pupils despite guidance indicating the maximum is 15.

4

We have stocked up on key PPE equipment including soap and sanitiser gels; dispensers in every classroom; thermometers; face masks; gloves; plastic aprons and much more and will continue to maintain stock as required.

5

We will monitor the well-being of our pupils, parents/carers and staff encouraging regular feedback so that we can understand how we can help you. Simply Health support is also available to all staff should it be needed.

6

We will stay in touch through letters, phone calls and text messages, social media, school websites and we want to hear from you. Staff will keep in touch via the schools Microsoft Team.

7

We will do our best to accommodate individual preferences and requests.

The three pledges we ask of you:

1

Please follow social distancing and sanitation guidelines e.g. drop off and pick up rules, hand washing on arrival to school and at regular intervals during the day.

2

Please keep the school informed of all relevant health and attendance issues – for yourself, your children, and any relevant family members so that we can continue to support you and our school community.

3

Where an individual cannot attend school, please commit to staying in continuous contact with school and ensure children commit to continuing their learning from home.
